The Interview process was very one-sided, where the recruiter asked me 25 minutes worth of questions, and only allowed me 5 minutes of questions. Red flag. A lot of these large-scale corporation types offer low-ball salary, but I accepted the interview in the hopes of understanding the pay structure, unfortunately, didn't even get to this part. Like I said, incredibly one-sided, didn't get to ask questions. It was also very clear that this company does not negotiate with its retail or hospitality workers. For instance, I mentioned that I worked well in the mornings, and wanted to request a schedule that is more consistent. I can work weekends and whatever hours, but at least consistency. I am neurodivergent and a predictable schedule for me helps me cope, obviously, not going to divulge this unless extremely necessary. Recruiter made it known then that newly hired workers don't get a say in what their schedule looks like. Take it or leave it. Considering Nail Technicians require a trade certification, and spend hours honing their skills, there should be some respect to their time. Seems that corporate Disney and retail Disney touts Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and giving Voices to communities that don't have one. Their retail workers don't seem to count in that demographic, especially new hires, even if you are a 30-something. It seems to me they are only looking for the newly grad who will do whatever they say.
