Recruited at a college job fair. Had initial interview on the phone with someone in HR. Pretty simple and lasted about 20 minutes. Heard back shorty and was invited in for an interview in Boston. In-person interview is about 90 minutes and is in 3 parts by 3 separate people. All 3 ask similar questions honestly. Mostly ask about your experience and why you want to work at Wayfair. They shouldn't need to have 3 different people conducting the same interview 3 times in a row. Just have 2 people interviewing the candidate at the same time for an hour. First person showed up late (actually the person originally going to interview me cancelled so she was just the replacement.) So already pretty crappy. She was really defensive when I asked if it was an inclusive and welcoming work environment for people of all ethnicities and sexualities. Second person was very nice. No complaints, honestly. She pretty much asked the same questions as the first, though. Third person seemed lost. Just had a blank expression and nodded at me. Although all 3 never once asked me a specific question about my answers or resume (they all just read from a paper and smile and nodded at my answers, whether they were good answers or horrible answers.) At the end, she said something about how it was great that I was getting a head start on applying for jobs. It was very condescending, like she didn't even take me seriously. She also told me that I would hear back NEXT WEEK. The interview was on a Wednesday and I got a rejection letter LITERALLY 48 hours after my interview ended. That's not next week. honestly, they probably did have better candidates than me, but this is a review of their interview and their interview was unprofessional, repetitive, and conducted poorly.
