I applied online. I interviewed at Wayfair in Sept 2019
Interview
First-round with HR, pretty straightforward.
The second round experience, I would say, bad... Before the interview, HR told me just based on resume, no case or technical questions. But actually, the interviewer asked them both. That's ok, I did prepare them. But she asked me to write SQL code via phone... HOW??? The result is I did write correctly but spent some time. She has 4 tables to join, VIA PHONE!!!
That's a bad experience, the interviewer seems not to have much experience in interviewing others. No hint to me when I'm stuck...
Pathetic. Interviewed with multiple teams, standard questions but I don’t know why they have such high standards for entry level roles. They use google sheets for analytics. Yeah, you read that right. The offer is very difficult to come by, utter waste of time for the salary they pay
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayfair in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied and had a recruiter phonescreen. This recruiter was pinch-hitting from London for some Boston recruiters. I thought it went well, he said he thought it was a good match and he'd have an update for me in 24 hours. Unsurprisingly for Wayfair, there was no update. A day after I was supposed to get the update, I was rejected by an ATS form letter. Lack of respect, really.
It was structured and smooth. There's an online assessment, a recruiter phone screen, a hiring manager round, a case study interview (75 min), and a behavior panel interview (30 min*3). I think the process may vary depending on the role.
