I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Jul 2024
Interview
1 phone call with recruiter
1 video call with senior hiring manager
1 panel interview with 3 people and a case study
Wayfair emphasizes their ridiculous pillars that they try to live by and makes you jump through ridiculous hoops to fit into their weirdly culty work culture.
During the panel interview, I was asked questions unrelated to the job description and most of the interviewers looked extremely stressed and bothered that they even had to show up to interview.
The recruiter might have been the worst part. As soon as her portion of the recruiting process was over, radio silence.
No attempts to contact her (3+ times) lead to any interactions and even when asking for feedback, no responsiveness.
This company is known for extreme layoffs and I would warn you to stay away unless this is your first job out of college or in desperate need of anything to stay afloat.
No wonder wayfair has a terrible reputation, and it seems to be prevalent from CEO all the way down throughout.
