I apllied for a Golang developer which had middle level requirements, had an hr interview with a very nice and polite woman, then heard nothing from them for 1.5 months and then got scheduled an interview for a senior SWE with much higher requirements.
The technical interview started weird because the two engineering managers from Romania didn't believe that I speak the foreign languages I mentioned on my CV? So strange.
Then they showed different pieces of code and asked what's wrong with them, as well as some easy theory like why do we close the http connections.
One of the questions was "if a goroutine panics, will the whole app crash?" I answered yes and they said that I'm wrong. After the interview I checked again and I was right! It's such a basic thing and I'm surprised that a senior SWE would ask that on an interview and also be wrong about it. I guess I dodged a bullet by not working under these people
