I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Webstreak (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2018
Interview
This process was sketchy, unprofessional, and a complete waste of my time. They set up a phone interview and after 10 minutes of talking, wanted an in person interview. It felt rushed, but I thought it was no big deal. The in-person interview was really forgettable because they didn't really ask any questions about my experience and didn't seem to care about my answers. Most of the interview felt like they were already giving me the job--it was weird. They asked about possible start date at the beginning of the interview and I was compliant to start ASAP. They told me they would send me HR information to talk about benefits and other things, but that never happened. The possible start day came and went and I never heard anything. They didn't even tell me I wouldn't get the job. No email, nothing. Over the course of the interview process I noticed it was a little weird but I excused it because I needed a foot in the industry. I excused the noticeable low pay (nonprofit entry level pays about $1k more), apparent apathy toward experience and cluelessness of my knowledge (they took time to explain what google ads were when I'm already certified), because I needed a job. But none of that really mattered because I haven't heard anything in five weeks and I stopped emailing them 3 weeks. I have given them enough reasonable doubt. I don't want to work for a place that either doesn't have it's stuff together to let interviewees know they'll be going elsewhere (like a normal work place) or alternatively, just doesn't care. Don't interview with this place.
