Interview
The STL (store team leader) was wonderful. They called me and actually explained how the interview process would work. Whole Foods often holds panel interviews. My panel had five people on it. I knew ahead of time that I would be able to have an opening statement, then they would all ask me questions, I could ask them questions, and then I would be given the opportunity to have a closing statement. It happened just as i was told it would. I was also encouraged to go to the store I was applying at before my interview and introduce myself to the team members there. It seemed like that might be awkward, but I did it and it was not awkward at all. In fact, I found it very informative. The best part about the whole thing is they decide the day of your interview whether or not they want to hire you and they called me the same day. No waiting, no second or third interviews. It was great! I have to say it was the best interview process I've ever gone through.

Interview
The hiring/interview process usually consists of a 10-20 minute pre-call that basically screens for obvious compatibility. If you are chosen to proceed you will be interviewed by a panel of various team members/leaders and asked custom questions and questions related to the position and your self.

Interview
Basically, the interview process was broken down like this:
1. Apply online.
2. Phone Interview with your immediate Team Leader.
3. An in-person interview at the store with your immediate Team Leader plus a member of the Regional Staff.
4. 45-minute Panel Interview with various Team Leaders, Store Leadership, and a member of the Regional Staff. Basic interview round-table format, where you interact with everyone in the room which can be up to about 10 people. After your 10 minute presentation of skills and technical ability, you have a roundtable review with Q&A session.
At the time, there was a hard focus on company culture and values. In addition, all positions, whether it is advertised or not, are sales positions. If you are not comfortable helping and selling to customers in the store, do not apply.
