I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Thousand Oaks, CA)
Interview
I applied online and they asked to schedule an interview within a week. I was asked to wait up front while they gathered all the interviewers. I met with their team leaders of the specialty department. They each took turns asking me questions. The team was very warm and down to earth. I left to my other job feeling very confident and satisfied with the experience. They offered me the job two hours later.

Question 1
How would you approach a customer looking to buy a cabernet?
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
It's important to understand the interview process at Whole Foods, whether you are an internal or external candidate. You need to go around and interview everyone on the team and in store leadership in the week leading up to the interview (the more the better). Ask them what they are looking for in the next X, You will never get anywhere in this company unless you lobby for the job ahead of time. It is time consuming and a royal pain.

Question 1
There were a lot of questions about helping customers, about your service ethic (describe a time you went above and beyond), then some very in depth questions about wine and pairing wine with food. I was asked to plan a dinner party with multiple wine pairings.
