I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2015
Interview
Lengthy and more than a typical interview. Phone screenings, home work for the interview involving seeking out other employees and speaking with them about the needs of the position and the interview was a panel interview with about 8-10 people

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Whole Foods Market is big on due diligence and panel interviews. Any position above a Team Member will require due diligence, which looks like meeting with various key stakeholders in the position in which you are applying for to get their perspective on the position and what they are looking for in a candidate. Additionally, and position above a Team Member will likely be a panel interview. Members of this panel will likely include a member of Store Leadership, HR, and the Team Leader and fellow Team Members of the specific team you are applying for.
A candidate that represents knowledge and support of the WFM culture: employees are referred to as Team Members, passion is worth more than experience, and candidates looking to be a part of something bigger than themselves is key.
