Received a phone call to set up a phone screen a few days later. Seemed promising at first and lady who interviewed me had a happy attitude but everything that she said about the job was negative. It was like she was trying to talk me out of the job the entire time. Didn't pass on to the in person interviews but it'd be nice to talk to someone who doesn't seem like they hate their job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They line it up in an email. You are asked about the company, the product you need to sell, and what brought you to yelp. They are huge on cold calling and everything mentioned to me was basically how the job sucks so if you can convince them you love being rejected all the time, you are set. The job is, from what i was told, dealing with people who want nothing to do with you so if you can get past the phone screen you most likely have a good chance.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
