I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Yelp (Cincinnati, OH) in Feb 2016
Interview
The interviewer brought me in and stated from the beginning that she already had someone in mind for the position, so there was no point to waste my time. She also clearly had not taken even a glimpse at my resume (or track record) and therefore treated me as incompetent, when in fact I was overqualified.

Question 1
I know someone I want to hire who is crazy about Yelp but has no experience. I honestly would prefer to hire them over you. Why would I hire you, who clearly has more experience, but that I don't know is already crazy about the brand.
Fun, easy, conversational. I really had a conversational talk with my interview were where she asked me questions but there was a good rapport. I skipped a couple steps so then I immediately got my offer instead of going through other steps. just the initial phone call and offer.

I was asked some interesting/unique questions in my phone interview regarding what my hobbies are, how I handle stress, etc. She was super kind and responded well to my answers.
