Please read my experience before considering an interview for this company. Personally I do not recommend Zalando as a good employer because of their arrogance and unprofessionalism. I interviewed for their product manager role with the hiring team, but after that I did not hear back from them for a month!! During that time, I wrote to one of their recruiting lead and asked for feedback and status update, the recruiting lead asked twice to the responsible recruiter to get back to me ASAP, but the recruiter kept silent for a month. After I wrote them again (third time) after a month, the recruiter replied finally by saying "I acknowledge the silence in communication from our side, the reason behind was that we tried to evaluate further matching opportunities for you at Zalando. The role you initially applied for has been filled with another candidate, nevertheless the impression you gave us in the department interview has been positive." So basically they are telling me that they did not reply and kept silient because the role I applied has been filled. Then why they do not communicate it to me for a month? If I do not chase, then I will never know this. Seems to me the recruiting team at Zalando is really low par and poor quality because they do not even know how to make timely communication. They say Zalando is growing fast and is a very challenging work environment, so everything takes time. My opinion is if Zalando is really growing, then timely communication is a top priority, contrary to what this recruiter was saying.
