I got into Zalando recruitment process via an external recruiter.
The overall process is: HR screening, Design Deep Dive (project walk thru), whiteboard exercise (2 topics given), Job Specific/team matching interview
The major bad experience coming from the poor communication with their inhouse recruiter:
in EVERY stage I asked her for feedback but she NEVER replied to me, and kept always avoiding the feedback until the end of all process, which took in total almost 3 whole months, and she told me that based on the feedback they decided to only offer me lower level position; if it should be considered not matching expectation, then in every chance I asked for feedback you should at least have shared this concern with me.
I think this indicates very POOR COMMUNICATION and unprofessional, meanwhile unrespectful to candidates' time and effort.
Try to avoid at all cost such hiring processes with them again.
