A recruter contacted me and we did a quick call about the position and the process , after that I received a codility test has 2 tasks : one in node.js and one in react . the minimum to pass is 60% , after I passed that I had an interview with the team lead : general questions about how the browser work and js related things (exp event loop ...) also he asked about currect project .It was good and friendly and I was quit positive about the interview , they sent me an email mentionning that there is no next step , no specific feedback.

3. Interview with Engineering manager Passed the first two stages. And had a pleasant conversation with the Engineering Manager - mostly about my experience and responsibilities in previous jobs, also he told me what they currently doing and whom they are looking for. Was asking about my attitude to work, what I like doing and where I want to grow. He also asked me about my attitude toward their company and what I think about the features they do (Sustainability). Even though the interview went smoothly and relaxed I got rejected in a week. With any feedback. I asked HR to provide some feedback since I spent hours preparing and passing those stages - I have never been reached back. Which is a really confusing experience for me.

Interview
It was a long and tedious process.
1. Code assignment - 3 easy logical questions on Codility. Need to score more than 60% to get shortlisted.
2. Screening interview - Basic questions with the recruiter about availability, monetary, expectations, relocation, and reason for the change. Also discussed the job opening, team functionality, and structure.
3. Technical interview - Discussed generic frontend stuff. More of opinions instead of technical answers. Like why to use functional components over class components in React. In which cases State management is used. Site monitoring, error handling, authentication, etc.
4. System Design interview - I was expecting a proper frontend system design interview but instead the interviewer asked me to design a backend API. Also discussed HTTP response status codes in depth.
5. Coding interview- I was asked to implement a memoize function, change class component to functional component and refactor some React components. I used HOC, render props for this.
6. General Tech interview - The interviewer covered a lot of concepts in this. It felt like he had a book with him and he was looking for proper definitions of the concepts.
He asked me about app performance and how to improve it, the importance of HTML element roles, CSS media queries, pseudo classes and elements, CSS selector specificity, a lot of JS definitions, React lifecycle methods.
