okay so like the on-campus process was very unstructured i felt,so they conducted OA first, and out of 220+ students,30 got shortlisted and i was one of them,so after that they conducted a common screening round in virtual, which went very well ,then the hr tells me to wait because there might be a technical round,so i wait but then again no updates, for like 3 days i felt ghosted ,then they announce the process will be held on campus i.e F2F interviews,so i start prepping ,but then i receive a shortlist where it had diff set of people than before, and the pool increased from 30 to 60,it included some from OA,some who didnt even give OA,jus pure resume shortlisting;right after that they mentioned there will be another round of OA for some reason to all of us,even though i cleared it prior to this,so the next day they conduct a pen and paper test for some reason;awful stuff, but it was one question -LC Hard ,the question was Reverse Nodes in k-Group;and the time limit was 20 min,so i cleared that somehow, because my logic was almost there,so from 60 it boiled down to 10,then i go for the interview, started with deep dive into dsa,all about strings ,arrays, commom patterns ;grilled me on that,i did well for the most part,ye occasionaly i took help from the interviewer;after that she asked me how i had solved the pen and paper test, like asked to run thru the logic and stuff, and she explained where i missed out on,then she asked me on dbms, commom concepts, then got asked on sql queries,5-6 of them very basic-meduim stuff like rank, limit and offset, having order by clause etc;after that cs fundamentals,os a bit, them oops, and a bit of network as well, overall the interview was very good, the interviewer was very chill ,but yea repeated emphasizing on like dsa was there a lot throughout the interview, and yes shortly after they reject me after this round;what i felt the dealbreaker was
1) i did dsa on my own for most part but occasional assistance from the interviewer might have given off that this candidate can perform well with assisstance ,but without it not much
2) i was coding in python, which was not part of the techstack of their company, which they revealed to us right before our rd1 of technical interview,so yea unlucky
so yea these 2 i feel were a dealbreaker in my opinion, also the fact that i didnt get asked on my projects a single time during this 1 hour long process was very weird tbh.
but i can clearly say i dodged a bullet, because right after this they kept another tech round, which my friend was selected for, apparenlty he too got grilled for an hour straight again on dsa,all the same stuff;after that too he survived and like him and 2 others get shortlised for last F2F in their office next day,but once he went there got dragged into 2 more tech rounds ,and after which he too got rejected, only one of 3 got called to HR,dont know if they hired him or not,but yea overall too demanding company;see the CTC was good tho 10lpa,but like the process was mad unstructured,so yea they gotta do it proper and like they had mad expectations from a graduate.not worth it tbh.but overall gained a good experience from this, thats my takeaway from this
