    Tableau Developer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Washington, DC (US)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at iPlace (Washington, DC (US)) in October 2018.

    Interview

This is not an issue of racism, it is an issue of an accent SO bad that as a young, intelligent, patient applicant, could not understand the initial voicemail to the point that I replayed and replayed it to try to hear the name of the company (even though this is a recruiting firm, i had a list of all of the companies/recruiting firms that I had applied to (50+), and I just couldn't figure it out.

    Interview Questions

    • When you read the above, you will see I didn't call back because although Tableau Developer is my career, I don't even know the posting at this point, I finally figured out iplace, but by then i realized it wasn't the type of organization i would want to deal with, when this is their hiring company.   Answer Question

    Senior Management Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Pune
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at iPlace (Pune) in November 2012.

    Interview

Long interviews with multiple staff by phone and in person. Company was flexible with last-minute changes. Everyone was warm, friendly and inviting. Infrastructure could be better, but for India, very modern in an attractive, well maintained location. Several calls back and forth with CEO in US, then more calls with VP of Operations. I did not meet any people face-to-face until I had already accepted the offer because I lived in a different city.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Negotiations were easy and clear. Package was generous to start with awesome incentives.

    Interview Questions

    Reasons for Declining

While job onboarding they decline me cab facility which they said in HR round they will be providing me during my employment. As I stayed very far around 27kms and it was a night shift job. Plus shared service department said me to relocate with my family near office as they cant provide me cab. They said there must be some miscommunication between them and interviewer which was VP of company. Even one of them said when you leave office around at 3am stay downstairs till 5 am and then leave on your bike. I found their statements and apporach very casual. So i declined

    iPlace Response

    17 Nov 2016 – Chief Strategy Officer
