Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to design, program, and integrate Siemens and Weintek PLC/HMI systems. The role involves developing PLC logic, creating intuitive HMI interfaces, and performing site commissioning for industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Hands-on knowledge of electrical panel, preparation of I/O listing, and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and on-site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. PLC & HMI Programming (Software)
- Develop, debug, and maintain PLC programs using Ladder Logic (LD), Structured Text (ST), or Function Block Diagram (FBD).
- Design and configure intuitive HMI/SCADA screens for machine operations, visualizations for Siemens/Wintech, process monitoring, data logging, alarms, and user control.
- Configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo drive for motion control.
2. I/O Listing & Electrical Documentation
- Create and manage comprehensive I/O lists, including sensor and actuator mapping.
- Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P&ID diagrams.
- Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) and cable schedules for panel procurement.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), and panel wiring diagrams.
3. Panel Building & Hardware Integration
- Supervise electrical panel wiring, including VFD, PLC modules, relays, SSR, breakers, and safety devices.
- Verify panel wiring against schematics and conduct point-to-point I/O checks.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and field instruments (sensors, transmitters, motors).
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), and panel wiring diagrams.
4. Communication Protocols:
- Experience configuring Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, or RS485.
5. Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure functionality before deployment.
- Perform on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix PLC/HMI issues during plant operations.
6. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve PLC/HMI, VFD, and servo drive issues in existing machinery to minimize downtime
7. Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including logic descriptions, I/O lists, functional design specifications (FDS), and operator manuals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 5–67years of hands-on experience in PLC/HMI programming and industrial automation.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and on-site troubleshooting.
