      Pros

      Free vend of coffee and refreshments, some good facilities around the world. Some fantastic individuals you can learn a lot from.

      Cons

      Incompetent leadership since the merger of the subsidiary businesses, toxic working environment for anyone in management or above. A dictatorship leadership style that has completely dismantled any sense of cohesion within the workforce.

      Pros

      There are a few really experienced, proficient staff members left from the legacy companies. Apparently holding out hope something changes and they can do great work again.

      Cons

      It has become an unqualified patient mill, thanks to the recruitment service executives who now feel they are clinical research conduct professionals. Ethics are questionable at best. Empty promises continually made to Sponsors.

      Pros

      Client customers pay big fees, but then AES manages poorly. Small group of top executive leaders hope to get rich from stock options despite terrible performance.

      Cons

      Terrible company. Parent company in North Carolina (PPD) has no real idea how badly AES is managed in PA. The company's executive leadership can't do anything right and treats employees very badly. I witnessed multiple rounds of layoffs last year.
