Pros

The only Pro is that there are many places to walk during lunch to reflect on how to escape the toxic environment.

Cons

Upper management is unethical. If you are a great employee you will threaten the toxic culture and they will invent reasons to terminate you. This place is a circus. The ring leader smokes a vape stick and has zero management skills. The CEO does not have the courage to manage his own organization, instead letting an untrained and unknowledgeable person depict the chaos to inflict on the employees that are simply doing their job. They lure you in with big promises of high salaries when in reality no amount of money is worth the sanity that you will lose while trying to help rebuild a toxic cultural empire. You will lose all sight of family as Acuity is the only thing that matters. Harassment is a daily practice. They lie, cheat and backstab employees and partners and have managed to keep a facade to the public while every employee desperately searches for a way out. The extremely high turn over rate speaks for itself. Ask what happened to prior employees, you will soon find that no one with one ounce of ethical background will last longer than a couple of years as it is completely damaging to watch while employees are degraded, cursed at and taken advantage of daily. This company should be labeled as a Mental Health War Zone! Please heed the warning and RUN!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. The mental health of our employees is something we take very seriously. Similarly, the concept of ethics has been foundational for this organization since its inception, and we do not tolerate any ethical breaches. Also, we believe all feedback is valuable, even (or especially) when it's critical. That's why we have never and will never take action to remove Glassdoor feedback. Although it's been a few years since this review, please do reach out to explain more about your experience. As the founder, I assure you that your feedback will be listened to, and, if there are indeed ethical breaches, acted on immediately. Josh Anderson CEO

Pros

Company provides beer in the office

Cons

Really low salaries for the amount of work that's expected and the torture they cause you. You're expected to hustle everyday like you're running a marathon. You need to be willing to take on other tasks outside of your normal job functions despite already being swamped with your own work. There are not enough employees to handle the workload and management is not interested in hiring additonal people. Company runs like a cult with their EOS operating system. If you don't agree with their rules and unrealistic demands you're fired. If you call in sick when you're really sick and there are deadlines coming up you're fired. There is no concern for the employee's well being although they try to project that they are pro-employee. Don't believe the fake facade of a party place, because that's not the reality once you're in their jail. Management lacks in providing procedures and proper training, but expect you to be perfect at the job and produce in an instant. Management does not provide performance plans to employees if they feel they are not performing to their crazy standards, they fire you without any warning. They forbid current employees to speak to past employees about the company stating it is a violation of company security. They expect you to be in meetings every morning to state what you're working on for the day. They expect you to enter in your Outlook calendar your tasks, which you must share with them to view. You must also enter everything you do every hour in a ticketing system for them to keep track even when you're a salary employee. Although you're in meetings for hours at a time, which keep you from doing your job, you still have to meet their insane deadlines. Their cultish EOS operating system meetings are mandatory weekly, which don't result in anything constructive or productive. After the EOS meeting you're expected to rate it while the manager is present. As a result no one rates the meetings poorly in fear of the consequences. Don't count on taking any regular breaks at work, they don't think you need breaks. Managers that don't like their employees for whatever reason they come up with, fire you without your side being heard. Managers will bad mouth past employees so you can have an idea what they're saying about everyone. They do not have a human resource manager, the CIO assists with some of the HR functions for onboarding. In essence there is no protection for employees. They can do, say, treat you however they want, and get away with it. The employee turn over rate is extremely high and management has no interest in finding out why. Management is blinded by their EOS cult culture. They ask inappropriate questions to see if you have other commitments at home that may interfere with their plans of slave driving. They don't like those that speak up or have a different opinion. They prefer to have robot like employees that take orders and keep their mouths shut. Their health benefit options are extremely expensive if you prefer a lower deductible. They don't offer sick time. They only observe 3 holidays and 4 floating holidays. Their benefits and salaries are seriously lacking. Steer clear of that type of work environment unless you're a masochist and enjoy abuse. This company will drain the life out of you and if you don't make it your top priority watch out.

Thank you for taking the time to give such extensive feedback. It's important to us as an organization that our employees have an environment that allows them to excel and feel valued. We also want everyone on the team to feel free to bring their unique personality to their role. I'm sorry that wasn't the case for your experience. To your specific points, I agree that the EOS framework can feel a little cultish at times, which is why since our initial implementation we have modified how we use it to make it less rigid. Your feedback about the meeting ratings was shared by other employees (myself included) and has since been stopped. We've tried to use the parts that help us function better and get rid of the parts that don't seem helpful. HR for any growing company can be challenging. We have never had a CIO, so I'm unsure who you're referring to. At one point our Controller handled HR alongside a third-party HR management company. Today, we rely on our third-party HR partner for parts of onboarding, and our team members say the experience is excellent. Overall, we want new employees to feel comfortable, so our onboarding process is a multi-week plan that includes introductions to all departments in the organization. Regarding benefits, we offer a variety of healthcare options and recognize all major US holidays and offer several weeks of PTO. Healthcare is challenging for everyone, and we have worked hard to put in place a variety of options. However, it is true that low-deductible plans tend to be more expensive. Because we service other countries, the US-only holidays like July 4th were in the past floating holidays, meaning employees could choose to take the day off paid or could work and use that day some other time. While it offered flexibility, it did create confusion, and as a result we have since reverted to a standard holiday schedule with 7 public holidays. Our PTO policy is designed to make time off available for vacation or sick days. We believe this gives employees more flexibility on when and how they use their well-deserved time off. I apologize that you had an experience that was not consistent with the environment we strive to maintain for our team members. While this review was left some time ago, I'd welcome the opportunity to discuss your experience personally. Please feel free to reach out to me directly. Josh Anderson CEO

Pros

Full PTO hours as soon as you start, use it before the new year (there's a cap) or before you get fired/quit because it doesn't get paid out once you're gone.

Cons

To reference the "headline" of the review, standard practice here seems to be not caring about things until a client has a complaint about something. Communication from leadership? Nonexistant. Scope creeping ourselves into a hole with a client because we'll commit do doing things without ever communicating with the people that will actually be doing the work? You betchya! Have you got some advice for possible improvements? Nope I don't think so, stay in your lane. If you're into the whole stay in your own lane and only do one thing then this might be a good place to work, but unfortunately the stay in your lane motto only applies to the lower people on the totem pole that actually know whats going on with the company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We have worked hard over the last few years to improve the structure of the organization, develop our individual team members, and recruit new team members that can have an impact on our growth. We want everyone to feel like they are part of a capable, engaged team, and I'm sorry that wasn't your experience. In the time since your review, our team has made amazing progress streamlining how we deliver our services. Our extensive onboarding processes ensure new team members get to see the whole picture. Our internal communication cadence seeks to provide transparency to all team members so everyone knows how their contribution is impacting the team.
