Pros

Very talented middle leadership Work from home

Cons

- Extraordinary poor top management team which has no ability to value talented middle leadership team, no strategy, no excursions. Absorbed those one of poor manager who always making excuses and blame on other team and even individual when they couldn’t achieve their goal. - CEO who never be prepared for any all hands. Immediately shows his anxiety when he encounters a tough question (which easily could imagine he would be asked) has no idea how to handle critical questions. Unprofessional attitude, shows up like he just woke up to even important internal meetings. - uncompetitive salary, but if you win the favouritism get paid well. - Comp plan finalised every later of quarter with so many changes. - Seems like no one even aware of company value, there is no such thing “communicate openly” or “ be responsible”

Pros

Open and accessible communication: Easy to talk directly with upper management, product managers, and your own manager — minimal bureaucracy. Flexible and understanding work environment: Deadlines and workloads are discussed collaboratively, with a human-centered approach and personal situations often taken into account. Support for technical initiative: You're encouraged to suggest and lead your own technical ideas, and if there's interest, you're given the green light without much resistance. Strong company culture and benefits: Friendly and collaborative internal culture, great office space, plenty of perks, and regular team events. Autonomy and ownership: You're not micromanaged; there's a good amount of trust and freedom in how you approach your work.

Cons

Manager experience can vary: A poor manager can negatively impact your experience, and conflict resolution depends heavily on team leadership. Performance reviews may feel one-sided: Annual performance reviews and raises are infrequent and may not always feel fair or aligned with actual contributions. Limited career progression speed: Promotions and salary adjustments are rare and slow, even for high-performing individuals. Recent large-scale layoffs: The company laid off around 250 people, including high-performers with large equity packages, raising concerns about long-term stability. Learning and development could be stronger: While resources exist, the actual usage of training programs is limited, and internal mobility across countries is restricted due to standard industry policies in Germany.

Pros

Good benefits, good pay for Berlin

Cons

Definitely avoid if you’re a woman in tech because of widely spread and accepted misogyny in the company. On top of that: very immature organization, no policies in place, management lacking leadership skills or occasionally lack of direct management whatsoever explained by “we don’t micromanage people”. HR partners lacking knowledge of company’s and employment laws, managers speaking openly about breaching employment laws, shady practices of firing people on sick leaves. You’re not welcome to make any suggestions on improvements until you’re an established employee who has “prove themselves”. Very toxic environment likely adapted after acquisition be an American company.
