Pros
As a TA, you get to basically attend all the lectures over again and strengthen your own knowledge as you help students learn, answer questions, review code. Its a great opportunity to sure up some of your own understanding and skills before diving into the job hunt.
Cons
Sometimes there is less of a heads up about new policies or other structural changes than works for everyone.
