Pros

I can't really think of anything other than the other lower-level employees who were friendly.

Cons

I recently had the misfortune of being an employee at Alpha Graphics in Ft. Lauderdale, and I cannot express enough how terrible my experience was. From the moment I walked through the doors, it became apparent that this was not a company that cared about its employees' well-being or professional growth. First and foremost, the management at Alpha Graphics Ft. Lauderdale is abysmal. The lack of effective leadership and clear communication created an environment of confusion and frustration. It seemed like management had no idea what they were doing and frequently made poor decisions without considering the impact on employees. They constantly changed priorities and expectations without providing proper guidance or support. The workload at Alpha Graphics was overwhelming and unreasonable. They consistently piled on tasks without considering the limited resources available. As an employee, I felt overworked and constantly stressed, trying to meet unrealistic deadlines. There was no work-life balance, and personal time was disregarded. Additionally, the compensation and benefits package provided by Alpha Graphics were far from satisfactory. The pay was well below industry standards, and there were no opportunities for growth or advancement. It felt like a dead-end job with no prospects for the future. Other Major things that happened was I set up an appointment with our local professional sports team, the manager in charge shows up late, missed the meeting so they stopped taking my calls because of him. Another time they made me drive 400 miles to bring signage to a show on my time off. They also made me come in on Saturday and Sunday with no extra pay. In conclusion, my time at Alpha Graphics in Ft. Lauderdale was a complete nightmare. The management was incompetent, the work environment was toxic, the workload was overwhelming, the technology was outdated, and the compensation was subpar. I would strongly advise anyone considering employment with this company to think twice before accepting a position. There are far better opportunities available elsewhere where you will be treated with respect and given a chance to thrive professionally.

Pros

Constant learning opportunities since every job was different depending on the client. Bonuses were given if the company hit a certain level of sales. Seemed to take good care of their clients no matter what.

Cons

Management was nice to the customers, but it seemed the workers were always in trouble. Very stressful environment. A lot of employee turnover but it was always blamed on the employees.

Pros

Print experience. Get to see creative prints.

Cons

Owner is strictly a sales person. Knows nothing about print. He is manipulative. Starts people (who have a degree) out below minimum wage to “prove themselves”. If you are pretty enough and play along you will get more opportunities. The corporate office is blind to it all

Pros

There wasn't an option for the location I worked at here on Glassdoor so I guess all reviews go to this corporate page. I worked for 2 different franchise locations over the span of ~12 years. During that time I worked with AGI (the corporate HQ) many times. Really good people. But I'll be focusing on working for a franchisee. Some pros: Work with a variety of clients with different styles and needs. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Great way to quickly build a portfolio of work that doesn't just focus on one company.

Cons

The company name is not as "prestigious" as other creative jobs. It's a franchise so each location is independently owned and operated so each owner is a bit different and runs their company differently. Depending on the size of your team you may not be doing creative work all day. Also benefits can vary from location to location. Some owners value creative work more than others. I've seen locations that treat creative work as a necessary evil and don't make much money if any at all on design work. Others view it as a profit center and really sell the design work to clients. You want to work for a location that does the latter, but make sure you have the skills to back it up so your team feels confident selling your creative work.
