Dead end job for members outside of Vietnam
Pros
The salary is in dollars. Completely remote. Colleagues are great. You get to know a lot about Vietnamese culture and its people which frankly are amazing. The benefits are awesome.
Cons
Unfortunately, there are no opportunities for growth if you are outside of Vietnam, most of the members are in that country and because of it, most positions are only available there. In the rest of the countries, you will only be able to work as support and no matter what happens you will stay in that position doing the same job every day. They have a very high bar for junior members, both in quality and performance. As a Junior, you have to meet the same performance as a senior member which can lead to high stress and worst-case scenario, burnout. In case you prioritize your mental health and do not meet the quality and performance goals you could be fired. Management also seems to believe that it's the agents' fault if it comes to that and can be very defensive about their position. Depending on your country and timezones the shifts can be brutal, you may even have to work all night and completely reschedule your life. Communication with the company can also be troublesome because of the different time zones and because of the high workload some teams may not be able to check your message. Internal documentation is outdated. Code quality is non-existent.
