Pros

Only pro is the RSU. I have given 2 stars for RSUs alone, all other things you can consider as 0 stars

Cons

Even during COVID-19 pandemic the company is mandating us to come to office. There is no decision making ability given to the managers till the GM level. The CEO takes the call that 50% of employees should come to office. That's it, even if you have a 10 days old baby in your house you are not given exemption; instead, they are asking us to wear mask inside the house so that your baby wont catch COVID. No humanity at all. Most unprofessional and most unethical company on this planet. This is a new digital era where software engineers can work from home and be more productive, but this company never listens to you. They have made mandate that you should come and work in the company premises even though you are able to complete 100% of work assigned to you at home. Double standards: One way they are saying that you are more productive at home, but still come to office and get COVID. Most frequent layoffs is another added worry. You will never know when you are going to loose your job. There are situations where complete Business Unit is shutdown/sold off to another company. There are lot more cons, but the attitude of the company towards the employees during COVID19 is the worst one. Definitely think before you accept offer from this company.

Pros

Huge stock option which is touch and luck base to get after 12-15 month

Cons

I don't have words to explain about Broadcom India work culture. Always hire and fire mode and new hires always are the goat to slaughter. Old legacy employees are full of politics and even they are not proper engineers most of the employees are pass out from very below average colleges and working with Broadcom since starting may be 6-10 years so they are like a frog in a dirty well. Company environment is full of politics, dirt, stressfull. Old legacy employee don't loose their dependency on the module, application and product and always give a hard time to new resources and later on that resource are eligible for layoff. Managers are really a dump and non technical and don't have any skills and not capabile to judge the internal politics within the team..just dummy managers. HR is only evolve to maintain in and out time of employess and how to force the employess to work from office even in Covid peak. Still in 21 century company having in and out time constraint, no WFH as such but on paper WFH with hidden terms and condition. company offers huge amount of stocks to trap/attract new employess but stock get vested after 12-15 month and legacy employee and management not allow to sustain you till that time.

Pros

Good stock option which is totally luck and good timing base to survive till that time

Cons

Broadcom is completely dependent of legacy employees, who hold all the project dependency and no one can survive without their wish as no project documents and hard to grab everything only through source code. The main strategy is to hire new goat to slaughter during layoffs. Hire new resources, don't gave them space to survive, and layoffs the candidate before mature its stock (yearly) and again hire new resource. It is just to make secure legacy employee jobs and stability. Management treat software professionals like a slave and work like a robot. Managers are totally dummy and non technical, non professional and even not able to realized the legacy engineers politics. Here managers are totally just blindly follow the instruction coming from USA and don't have any individual strength. HR is totally worthless, they meant only to make employees day to day life hell. like how to push software professionals to work from office even in covid crisis(where every week around 50-60 employess are infected with corona in office) , no WFH policy as such (it is just to make a fool to external new candidate) Yes good stock option is their but it is just a carrot hanging on the pole in front of goat, just as a part of greedy algorithm to impress new jonnie and which he/she will never get. It is not my individual thoughts, just think 100 times before joining to Broadcom, because once you trapped in this situation, it is really tough to come out from them and find another similar level job.
