Pros

- Aiding patients undergoing fertility treatment which you can do elsewhere for another organisation - Rewarding - Local Food market - Local to Hatton Garden, perfect time to spent away from the underground dump

Cons

- Dead End Job - Poor communication - Spiteful & Ignorant staff members - including the men - Depressing - Intense Environment - No flexibility - Insufficiency of social life - In command of your time - Blurring boundaries of work, home time and overwork - & So on If you’re considering this role, you’re signing up for stress and chaos. Initially the salary seems great for this role until you actually perform the duties and get hit with the reality. First and foremost, this is an unhealthy and unstructured call centre. From the environment to the pressure and the misery. Never have i witnessed such shambles and a rapid employee turnover. Staff are treated like school children or as if you’re an ex-offender on a probationary role. There are minimal/no breaks. Managers watch you obsessively and the wall board(data of calls) like a hawk and will determine if the break is necessary or not. It can be slightly patronising and uncomfortable when you simply get up for a toilet break. Seating plans, no phone usage, set lunch breaks which change everyday, no ground space for a breather or opportunity to stretch your legs. You’re literally based in the basement. Most managerial staff seem lovely at first as they’re eager to get you started as it improves their statistics of calls, however, eventually the pressure of answering calls and the competitiveness comes to light. In a healthy working environment you would expect people to do their jobs, but in this company it seems like everyone get’s a power trip and become a total jobs worth! They claim they do not micro manage, yet they definitely do, even if you’re WFH. There’s lack of communication and staff do not care about the mental well-being of their staff. Co-workers are nice at first but all are very bitter and can be intimidating as a newbie. They all love a good gossip, whether that’s about other staff or even the vulnerable patients. Makes sense as they are in a negative and poor environment. They’re not afraid of making you feel silly about a query either. It’s really sad, most people in this role are there as they may be in desperate need of money, but in all honesty, it is not worth it. There may be improvements which have been enforced, but that is most probably due to the high turnover of staff and won’t last long either. Moreover, do not get fooled by the WFH benefit as it is capped to a number of a days a month and no guarantee which days. Annual leave is not flexible, things are always changing from your shift patterns (including Saturdays). Everyone works during Bank holidays (depending on rota). This is not a progressive role either, it is a dead end depressing role and everyone wants out. Do not be fooled by the imitated job descriptions and their cheap talk. On a positive note, the companies purpose and scheme is rewarding and brilliant, yet this role and every single staff surrounding this role, including their management is very unpleasant. Yes Dilip that includes you too. FYI - If i could give 0 stars i would.

I'd give it 0 stars but it's not possible.

Pros

The location is a positive. There were some great staff, but the nicest ones don't stay long.

Cons

It is toxic. The culture is one of bullying, backstabbing and lies. I have never been so shocked in my life when I heard senior staff screaming and shouting at eachother, and at more junior staff. They created an environment of fear but try to portray the place as super friendly and caring during interview when it is anything but. There is always pressure to work long hours and an expectation to always be available with veiled threats of dismissal if you question anything or try to stand up for yourself. No salary in the world could be good enough for putting up with working there, but the low levels of pay are just another insult.

Pros

The one pro was working for a great team, everyone was so amazing and knowledgeable, my team members would go above and beyond to help.

Cons

from the start I was communicating to get a second interview scheduled in, no communication or confirmation so I just turned up and thankfully it was correct. the training was all over the place and people were left to just get on with it, and would get lost in the program as they were so understaffed but allowing more patients to come through the door, the company was so disorganised and never cared for the people working.
