Pros

I have worked at ChalkTalkSPORTS for a little over two years now. I have experience working at both small and large corporate companies, with that experience my time at ChalkTalkSPORTS has been the best so far. This is a place where I am given the opportunity to grow professionally everyday. A lot of times especially in larger companies you will get lost in the shuffle and aren’t able to grow in your career. But here I am given opportunity to grow and improve on areas I wouldn’t have even thought I could do. There is always something new for me to learn to help me improve myself as well as the company.

Cons

Holiday hours can be long but this also gives you an opportunity to see different parts of the company.

Toxic Company with no upside

Pros

On average two employees a week quit so no one has to work here long

Cons

Don’t expect to be acknowledged if you work extra hours. Owners film everyone all day so don’t talk or leave your spot. If you find a penny on the ground in the parking lot leave it there or be prepared to be accused of theft. Nice people and hard workers are overlooked in favor of family members. The customers don’t matter, the employees don’t matter only the families bottom line. For real, the owners film every inch of the building all day everyday, be ready to be questioned if you are away from your station for more than 60 seconds. A toxic workplace with poor management and non-existent ethics.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of the company. I’d like to use this opportunity to address some of the misinformation that has been shared as to not discourage prospective employees from pursuing a career with our company. - Stating that two employees quit a week is quite simply categorically false. If such a statistic were to be true, we would be out of business. - To share statistics that are in fact accurate, over 40% of our staff has been employed with us for over 6 years! Additionally, over 55% of our staff has been employed with the company 3 years or more! We value the retention of our employees above all else. We are sorry that you share a different perspective than what is true. - Cameras are located throughout the facility not only for the protection and security of the company's assets, but also for the security and safety of the employees. It is common practice for a company to have cameras in place for these purposes. - Employees are encouraged to collaborate, form relationships with one another and foster a positive work environment that embraces creativity, passion & camaraderie. Our business requires collaboration to operate in all areas. We are sorry that you left your position with such a negative outlook of the company and its employees. We only wish you had expressed any of this while you were here, and we could have addressed your concerns and turned your time into a more positive experience. It’s unfortunate that it was not until reading this review that we were made aware of your discontent. I wish you all the best and hope you find success in a culture that best suits your needs. Thank you for your feedback.

Scary place to work

Pros

Coworkers are very nice, hour break for lunch

Cons

Really negative work environment, the owners operate by fear and there is a high turnover rate due to employees either quitting or being fired over minor infractions. Employees are expected to have barely any interactions with each other outside of lunch, not even small quick conversations. The main owner is vindictive and takes his own frustrations out on his employees. Management also frequently asked current employees to post positive reviews on Glassdoor to offset the negative ones, and employees did not feel they had the option to say no.
