Pros

The team are nice. I think it's trauma bonding, but still.

Cons

Management in this company is the most toxic group of people I have ever met. And I worked in hospitality for a while. Advancement in this company will not happen; they refuse to let anyone take on any kind of authority, at the same time they refuse to listen to advice from the experts they hire. It's a dead-end company, a cul-de-sac career experience that will teach no nothing but how to school your face not to openly display your bafflement. They will try to trick you at every turn. They will act shocked and sad when you call them out on it. They will gaslight you and come out with what at a glance sounds reasonable, but upon future examination is utterly ridiculous.

Pros

No pro is worth the cons you will experience here, avoid!

Cons

The most incompetent Senior Leadership Team I have had to work with in my 7 years of being in the industry. It is actually shocking. I only lasted a couple of month but during my time here I was appalled by the way senior leadership spoke to certain team members. SLT needs serious management training, because treating adults like school kids is not a management style. There is a massive ‘us and them’ culture. They hire young people to pay them so little, manipulate them and overwork them. The only job to ever effect my mental health so negatively.

Pros

The team are nice people - it’s just a shame their talent isn’t recognised by SLT. There is some opportunity to work with interesting people/ partners but it’s very commercially focused.

Cons

SLT don’t see the value in training or professional development, it’s very hard to see any progression. Lack of empathy from SLT.

Pros

I'm the recruiter, so you think I would say the positive things - but I hope I'm giving you a frank and honest view, warts and all! It's a small yet ambitious company that is genuinely driving positive change in the climate space. We have some incredible people here across the company, who work collaboratively to put on a fantastic range of events across London Climate Action Week, COP, NY Climate Action Week, and other partner events.

Cons

It's events! What I mean by that is it can be incredibly busy. This is a small team (around 12-15 employees), going up with contractors/support staff as we get closer to the event. This has meant that previously, less attention has been paid on developing staff and offering a 'traditional' progression route (like in other industries, or larger organisations). 2026 has marked a shift in attitude with a genuine desire to grow the organisation - hiring senior people to think longer term, including a Head of People and Culture, Senior Marketing, Senior Conference Producer, and more. It will take some time, but the foundations are being put in place. This company would not suit someone who is looking for a company that has it all figured out. My 5* is to emphasise that the work is being put in place to move us forward, and to recognise that the existing Glassdoor score may have been right some time ago, but to reflect that the work is being done and a higher score reflects the work being done. Please note, it's also not a 'made up' score by management - I'm a real person here! If you like a puzzle and this kind of challenge, with this level of opportunity, you'll thrive!
