Thank you so much for your kind review and for recommending Compassion UK. We’re deeply grateful for the time, energy, and heart you’ve given in support of our ministry. Your role as a volunteer is so valued, and the impact you make in helping release children from poverty in Jesus’ name is truly powerful. Words are not enough to express our gratitude. We understand that the distance from Fleet station to our office, around 0.8 miles or roughly a 17-minute walk, may not be convenient or accessible for everyone. We’re sorry if it wasn’t clear beforehand, but we do offer reimbursement for travel expenses for our volunteers, including taxi fares, subject to prior arrangement. We also recognise that some volunteers may choose not to accept this, in alignment with our shared mission and values. Thank you again for your dedication and for walking alongside us in this calling. Your support moves others to take action, and we are so thankful for you.

Pros

Compassion UK has an incredible workplace culture built on kindness, purpose, and genuine care. The team is passionate about the mission, and you truly feel valued and supported every day. The environment is inspiring, collaborative, and uplifting – everyone is working together to make a real difference. Leadership is compassionate and encouraging, and the sense of community here is unmatched. It’s more than just a job; it’s a place where you grow, thrive, and feel proud of the impact you’re making. Highly recommend!

Cons

Because the team is so passionate and dedicated to the mission, the work can be fast-paced and demanding at times – but it’s all driven by a shared purpose and urgency for the mission, which makes it rewarding. Like any mission-focused organization, there are always areas for improvement in processes, but the leadership is open to feedback and continuously working towards making things even better.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and for being an important part of the Compassion UK and Ireland team. We’re delighted to hear that you value our leadership’s dedication to both our staff and our mission, it means a lot to us. We understand that everyone’s experience is unique, and we truly appreciate your insights regarding pay, promotions, and development. In December 2024, to better support our team, we introduced a new internal process for performance/development reviews. We're also putting significant effort into enhancing learning and development tools to help our team grow and thrive in their roles. In addition, we’re partnering with external experts to create a strong pay framework that meets the needs of our organisation. Our aim is to provide a transparent pay and grading system that adapts to market changes. Communication and collaboration between departments are areas we’re dedicated to making a positive and seamless experience for everyone. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us achieve this goal. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the unique contributions you bring to Compassion UK & Ireland. We’re grateful to have you with us!
