Pros

Great place to grow as a frontend developer. The team encourages learning and experimentation, especially with modern frameworks like React and Angular. Work-life balance is decent, though project deadlines can be tight. Management is approachable, but internal processes could be more streamlined

Pros

Generally - culture is very strong (inclusion/wellbeing etc matters), some fantastic individuals dotted around the org, who you can learn from + build strong relationships with, Work is interesting, you get out of it what you put into it. Hopefully by 2025 the Government will be worth working for!

Cons

With lots of jobs moving away from London, there is less opportunity for London-based workers going forward (a good thing in general, but worth knowing). This Govt is a shower and it is dispiriting working for them. Can be frustrating. Some poor leaders dotted around.
