TERRIBLE WORK CULTURE

Pros

You could work from home

Cons

Terrible management & communication, management will point fingers at who did something wrong rather than take responsibility & correct the situation, no training but they expect you to understand exactly what needs to be done the exact way they want it done, left out of meetings etc.

A great company turned into a sinking ship

Pros

1. A few people are very supportive and care a lot about what they do. 2. Decent work life balance 3. Hybrid work setting 4. Founders are great and well connected

Cons

1. Stopped caring about people 2. Churn rate too high (can only blame the economy) 3. No new ideas or experiments. They don't even want to hear from others. 4. Asks you to follow the processes without asking any questions 5. Work environment has become way too toxic. Less accountability and more pointing fingers at others when something goes wrong is in the culture. 6. Too much favoritism towards selective people 7. No career path, hence no growth. 8. Only selective favorite people are promoted 9. Too much uncertainty towards company's future growth leading to less confidence in personal spending, and more stress during and before/after work. 11. DEI within the company is a joke, ironically 12. Good people are looked down upon and don't get the opportunity to grow which management doesn't care about because all of them are riding the same boat. 13. Low compensation

Silent layoffs

Pros

Flexible schedule like any startup would have, some nice people who care about DEI, decent WLB

Cons

Silent layoffs, team members disappearing without acknowledgement. Selective (white) team members given acknowledgment when they leave. Funny how that works at a DEI company. No job security, you’ll probably be put on contract and laid off when they don’t need you. Non-existent culture because leadership doesn’t invest money to connect people Poor and noncompetitive pay. Some competitors pay $20k more for the same role. Constantly putting quantity over quality and it shows. Client churn rate is ridiculously high. 30% of the company is interns Little to no learning experiences. Out of all the startups I’ve worked at (pre-seed, series A, etc.), this was the worst by far
