Pros
Working for Dr. Matt, there are many pros. Most of the patients are wonderful. Over the years, I have developed numerous relationships with them. The office is very small. We have 2 full time hygienists, 1 assistant, 1 receptionist, and Dr. Matt. We have a very laid back atmosphere, very 'old school'. We do not have any fancy equipment, just the basics. This way, Dr Matt can keep his fees minimal.
Cons
Some cons working for Dr. Matt is the fact that we do not have a computer at the office. Everything is done by hand. We do not have digital X-rays or a pano unit. Dr. Matt does all the impressions, sealants, anesthesia (we don't have nitrous oxide), and study models. I have been working here for over 16 years and I have no opportunities to 'move up'. I don't have many computer skills or any experience with more modern equipment.
