Pros

Lovely sales team below management level and some extremely smart and passionate people across levels in the product and CSM teams. Super interesting product with a great origin story

Cons

Do not be fooled by any charm you might see during the hiring process here. While there are some amazing people at Dragonfly doing some incredible work, leadership is severely lacking in the sales department with a level of incompetence you’d not think possible beyond graduate level. At best there is a lack of clarity and comms regarding individual and team goals, while at worst there are repeated examples of deliberate deceit and attempts to cover up ungodly incompetence with anyone at risk of being thrown under the bus. While the product itself is good, a growing threat from seemingly more multidimensional competitors is a serious problem that only the more shrewd in the business seem concerned about. Hiring of sales people is done for show alone and to provide a sacrifice to the board 6 months later.

Avoid - Speak to Current/Former Employees

- Product is pretty innovative, albeit no longer a market leader - Good individuals (but detracted by poor leadership)

Cons

To anyone considering a position here - I strongly recommend you speak to a current or former rep outside of the interview stages. The culture is toxic and built on "optics" rather than substance - this comes from the top and is a recipe for disaster as a salesperson. The business is aware of the problem but nothing has changed, nor will it. Unless leadership changes are made, I would strongly recommend you do significant due diligence before accepting a role here. Key things to be wary of during the process: - Product is not the best in the market (despite claims) - Inbound leads are not distributed fairly, nor are they anywhere near the levels of 2022/2023. You will spend 95% of your time doing cold outreach. - Work/life balance is good at first but you'll soon realise it stems from a complete lack of professionalism in the leadership team which inevitably leads to more problems than positives.
