Pros
- Modern work space - standing desks, well-lit, nice workstations, large spacious conference rooms with state of the art technology - Three weeks' paid vacation - Very friendly colleagues - Ability to get a lot of work experience in a short amount of time
Cons
- Language barriers - Few salary increases: - No organizational structure, clearly defined roles, or expectations - No performance reviews or clear process for advancement - No pension/very poor benefits plan - Only six sick days a year which cannot be rolled over or accumulated - Open-concept work-space design: If you are easily distracted, good luck (thankfully no longer an issue due to COVID and WFH policies) - Nepotism - Company policies and processes are not clearly defined, communicated or followed by management - No HR department - Heavy workloads and high standards with very little training, guidance, or management support (40 hours minimum - most people work 50-70 hours)
