Pros

Beautiful location with bright, open layout for cubicles. Great filtered water/coffee machine promoted healthier eating habits. Resources for standards and specifications were pretty well organized and easily accessible.

Cons

AECOM (formerly URS) has a bad work environment in general. The focus on every dollar billed from a client forces employees to become possessive about their assignments. Engineering team often didn't know what one another were doing and did not share information freely. Cooperation and assistance are difficult to come by. Timesheets were micromanaged due to metrics on billable hours to projects and clients. Management puts heavy pressure to reduce overhead to nil even when difficult to manage. Administrative staff were dumped on by every team/department, rarely consulted and frequently double-booked at last minute by competing priorities and then browbeaten when they asked for help.
