Superior products; quality of staff; benefits; work/life policies; home purchase assistance (which is truly outstanding); overall relocaton policy; company facilities/office areas; Amgen gym; on-site child care; tuition assistance; Amgen summerfest (family day); corporate giving (matching donations); work hours; on-site gift shops; on-site car wash; on-site farmers market. Amgen cares about it's staff and supports open communication. When Amgen went through restructuring in 2007, they were very open to staff regarding what issues the company was facing and how the company planned to get the company back on track. I appreciated knowing what was coming.
Cons
Cost of living in surrounding community; stock has not performed well in the past 2 years, however that is all about to change.
