Pros
You get to truly experience the atmosphere of North Korea without having to fork out for a flight - way to go TAP!
Cons
The senior staff are bullies - one manager was so horrendous I genuinely developed anxiety from having to work under her. You're treated like a schoolchild who's opinion doesn't matter so long as you're hitting KPI's. Stingy mentality - whereas other recruitment companies reward you for hitting targets, Walker Andersen gives you a half day which they can (and will) withdraw at their discretion. They also force you to go for drinks as an office on Friday despite the fact that this isn't paid for. When a few of us didn't show up once because it was the week before payday we were given a lecture by one of the directors. Blatant favouritism between managers and other members of staff. I was made to feel very unwelcome. NO LOYALTY to their staff whatsoever - commission is awarded at their discretion and trust me, they WILL exercise this right. Long hours, old school mentality, patronising senior consultants, I could go on and on and on. I read the terrible reviews of this place before accepting the job offer but assumed people were exaggerating or didn't know enough about the recruitment industry in general. I really wish I'd listened to my gut an steered clear of this god awful company with it's terrible reputation in the market.
