Pros

They have you acquire a C-Class license.

Cons

The experience is NOTHING of what they make it out to be!! The place is a mess after utilizing a new system and it trickles down to the customers - they often do not receive what they are paying for. Aramark Uniform Services is lacking trust and organization throughout the company. For example, on my first day, they had no idea I was starting. I showed up, they had nothing for me to do so they sent me home for the day - It hasn't gotten better since. Management can easily be described as careless. As an Associate District Manager, you are supposed to be training to be a District Manager.. You AREN'T!! The opportunity has been all route running. You can expect to be working 10+ hours a day on a truck. I found myself either running routes or being ordered to "clean the dock". The experience in INVALUABLE. When on the truck, you can expect to not have full loads so you WILL BE under delivering to accounts and hearing their frustration. If you're looking for a good work-life balance then this is NOT the position for you! Once you become a District Manager, you can expect to be route running most days as Aramark usually finds themselves to be severely under staffed. This makes it almost impossible to complete your managerial duties. Continually, upper management will expect unrealistic numbers considering the time spent on route + COVID-19. Finally, it is an unsafe work environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, I notified a manager that I had been exposed to an individual that had tested positive for Coronavirus.. I was then advised to come into work anyways! When asked for a reasoning, the manager stated, "I don't want to get HR involved because then it makes the process lengthier. You should get tested and come in after. It's a part of being a manager and showing your leadership. We need people right now." - After this is when I did NOT feel comfortable coming into work anymore. For that reason, I had to quit and look elsewhere.

Pros

Working as a Lead Barista has been a rewarding experience that has helped me grow both professionally and personally. The role has strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while allowing me to mentor and support team members. I enjoy creating positive customer experiences, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and service. The fast-paced environment has taught me how to multitask effectively, stay organized, and work under pressure. This position has also provided valuable experience in training staff, inventory management, and team collaboration. Overall, being a Lead Barista has been an excellent opportunity to develop skills that are transferable to leadership and project management roles.

Cons

While being a Lead Barista has provided valuable leadership and customer service experience, the role can be challenging at times. The fast-paced environment often requires managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including customer service, beverage preparation, inventory management, and team support. Staffing shortages and high customer volume can create stressful situations, especially during peak hours. The position also requires long periods of standing, frequent lifting, and maintaining energy throughout the shift. Additionally, balancing leadership responsibilities with daily operational tasks can be demanding, particularly when addressing customer concerns or training new employees while meeting service expectations
