Pros
Some truly wonderful people - mostly the ones hired before 2022-2023. Generous benefits, though those are diminishing. The culture pre-2024 was incredible and an extreme differentiator; sadly, it’s all but gone.
Cons
Senior leadership are increasingly resembling Silicon Valley characters created for comedic purposes: I don’t get the sense that any of them actually know what they’re doing or talking about. They convey very little meaning when they speak- it could all be written by ChatGPT and used interchangeably at any big tech company. The past 18 months have been constant leadership turnover and re-orgs, making it very difficult to accomplish anything! A particularly concerning example of senior leadership incompetence was the installation of a horribly misogynistic and toxic leader who openly sexually harassed people on his team. In 8 months of his “leadership,” 5 female managers were either demoted or fired. The only good thing I can say is that HR eventually had enough complaints to fire him, but he should have never been hired, and never placed in a leadership role.
