Pros
Dynamic R&D environment where high performers are recognized with bonus compensation not seen in other companies this size and stability. Aggressive current growth with good probability of continued growth. Conglomerate like structure has cash cow products which are successfully funding more innovating new products.
Cons
Still dealing with incorporating a division of acquisitions into a coherent system. Suffers from legacy managerial structure as well as painful legacy systems, in great contrast to the innovation in its leading products. Has definite problems deciding on priorities between quality and stability and greenfield growth. Note that experiences reported by people will vary greatly by the location and group they are in. Some areas of BMC are stagnant and political, others aggressively technocratic.
