Pros
99% of the people below the rank of Director and Partners are genuinely friendly, level headed people.
Cons
Very, very poor culture of mental health. Consultants and Corporate alike are burnt out shells of human beings and treated by leadership as nothing more than cogs in the machine. I didn't actually realise I was alone in my worsening mental health when I was at Baringa, until I had spoke to maybe half a dozen other consultants and members of corporate who said they had taken leave multiple times due to burnt out and mental health deterioration. It's unfortunately hard wired into the culture of Baringa that you will work as hard as possible for the Partners, work extremely long hours and have multiple breakdowns in the process, as long as they can extract as much wealth as possible. Of course all businesses operate with profit in mind, but I have seldom seen one as similar to a Dickensian workhouse as I have at Baringa. A final point. They are very pro-active with LGBT+ rights with Lanyards and speeches, but for ethnic minorities or (even worse) people with disabilities this company has no interest in equality. People with disabilities will be bullied if leadership thinks it is getting in the way of their "image". Multiple instances of reported racism. This is a place for Rich white men and women Partners to congregate, drink champagne in their "meetings", operate like a private school while driving every single subordinate into the ground with severe stress, burnout and mental health crisis. You are a stranger to me, but please please do not risk your mental health to work here. It is not worth it.
