Pros

* Solid team, everyone learns and thrives together. * Requested time off is usually approved, must request 21 days in advance though. * Steady annual pay raise. * Fast pace to learn and advance into other roles. * Multiple branches to work in; In store, home visits, automotive, Geek Squad Central. * You get to help out and make a difference in people's lives, whether is due to a device that's not working properly or whether is to help them overcome some of the toughest moments in their lives, like after customers have been hacked, their retirement/bank money stolen, or clients have been victims of identity theft. There is great purpose in helping your community.

Cons

* Is a sales related job, so have to learn to hit the numbers and learn to adapt to different hours/schedules. Some weeks it may be super busy, some may be super slow. * Have to have thick skin: -Some clients may be adamant about scheduling an appointment and may demand to be seen right away. Have to respectfully remind clients, that just as any other service, the appointments help everyone, including them, to have specialized time set aside for their devices to be checked out. -Consultation appointments are set to last 20 mins max. -Have to be transparent about how protection plans and memberships work. Clients may not always be happy to hear what they don't want to hear, like how their device may need to be replaced as it may be outdated, is important to try and be as transparent as possible, in a respectful manner, even when customers may be rude. -Is also important to know when to escalate matters to a senior agent, a leader, or a manager.

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
