Pros
I absolutely loved working at Bridgestone. It was, without a doubt, one of the best places I’ve ever worked. The culture, the people, the sense of purpose.... it was truly special. That changed significantly after Scott Damon took over. Since his leadership began, there have been three rounds of layoffs, and there’s a constant sense of instability with no clear end in sight. Morale has taken a hit, and it feels like decisions are being made with profit as the only priority, not people. It's disheartening to see a place I cared deeply about shift so drastically. If you’re considering joining, I would urge caution. The uncertainty around job security is very real right now, and the direction of the company feels unclear
Cons
Leadership under Scott Damon has led to three rounds of layoffs, creating ongoing instability and low morale. The company feels increasingly focused on profits over people, and the culture that once made it special is fading.
