Job security, I suppose. Ideal if you want to perform the same tedious task 9 to 5 for the next 15 years.
Cons
Although senior management say they are always available, they never listen and only try to implement their own, out-dated ideas. Growth by acquisition means there are many conflicting teams all doing the same work, trying to protect their own positions and not providing a service to anyone else.
