Not very professional - run like a dictatorship - Account Coordinator Caster Communications Employee Review

Pros

Got to travel in the first year working there

Cons

Boring clients, unprofessional dress & habits of staff, management definitely has favorites. President / CEO would show up in yoga pants , not having showered, after going to the gym. The basement office was not a fun place to work. Upper-level "loyal" employees were treated much better than new hires, so save yourself the time and look elsewhere for a job. You'll be product pitching for some irrelevant companies. What you learn really isn't that beneficial, except how to bs clients.

Pros

I've been working at Caster Communications just shy of 4 years. I joined the team as a recent URI grad looking to jump start a career and learn more about the world of PR. Some of the benefits (and there are many) to working at Caster include, flex hours, fantastic compensation, a fast-pace and exciting work environment and a dedicated team of co-workers who are ready and willing to go above and beyond for you and teach you anything they can. Since I started, our team has doubled. We hold regular team status meetings and frequent team outings which strengthens the team both inside, and outside of work. If you're up for the challenge and ready and willing to put the time and effort in, working at Caster Communications is rewarding with just the right amount of fun mixed in. Plain and simple, we work hard, but we play even harder.

Cons

If you're seeking a job where you can just put in the hours minimum and fly under the radar, Caster isn't right for you. We're a small, yet nimble team and every member counts. Our team is more robust now than it's ever been before and we're more than willing to put the time into teaching and training new members of our team. While currently, (September 2016) our offices are split between 2 different floors, the whole company is still located within one single building and we're working on a solution to consolidate office space to house all our offices on one floor. As an employee of several years, we're incredibly well compensated with copious opportunities for upward mobility and growth - if you're willing to work for it.
