Cpchem is an excellent company. They pay well and from my knowledge they have never had a period of laying off employees

Cons

Systematic racism. You have to work twice as hard to be recognized and building relationships is the only way to advance ( I guess that is most chemical companies in USA). Once at a career engineer level it is merely impossible to obtain an increase in salary outside of regular yearly raises
