-You have to LOVEEEE construction to feel compensated for what you are doing. Pay is decent but when you're working 10-12 hour days , some nights and weekends….is your salary actually good?!?!
-A lot of turnover. I have recommended many people who have not been hired yet they hire others with 0 experience.
-Seems a lot of the younger project managers have started from college and are almost bred like robots. They might be good at their job but everyone seems 100000000% over worked. At the end of the day they might be able to say they worked on a cool project in DC but are they actually happy…
-Working weekends you should be getting an extra vacation day/floating holiday. A lot of competitors do that.
-About 10 different programs are used I the field on a daily basis. Listen to your employees who ACTUALLY use them and have suggestions on what would help them.
-Another person wrote a lot of 0-2 year then 10-15 but not a lot of between. That should tell them something.
-Terms of COVID - doing a good job at keeping clean and enforcing guidelines. However, still expect to work xyz hours which also starts to compromise your immune system.
-Up until approx 10 years ago women had to wear tights in the office…...
