Pros

Great opportunities globally, very flexible training, good educational assistance programmes, fun people to work with, excellent focus on Safety at a procedural level, global company has a strong rigour around ethical behaviour, excellent ethnic diversity

Cons

Very little opportunity for growth in the South Pacific (old boys club at the highest levels), managers dont move around so very little risks taken on promotions etc, at a working level morale is very low but because that is consistent across the South Pacific it keeps workforce close knit (common enemy), very focused on compliance not necessarily whats best for local business and personnel e.g. ethics is a good example where the requirements are known and practiced but the execution of the outcomes is really poor (focuses on the one or two not the root cause - thats too hard). Micromanagement at a very senior level is distracting from growth, very poor gender diversity

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
