Pros
If you are a yes person that wants to be a lap dog than this is the place for you. What you will get is low pay enormous manager incompetents, constantly chasing quality issues and no regard for customer service. But you can pretty much do nothing and not be held accountable for years since the lazy managers are just concerned with no one figuring out how little the know or care. Also you will get a feeling that everyone is friendly, this is an act. The strongest quality at CTP is passive aggressiveness, if this was a service they sold they would be a world leader! This makes working there a nightmare and is why there is so much politics. It has been going on for so long that they don't even see it anymore.
Cons
You can't trust anyone specially now since the managers have abused the business so badly. The senior management team is to blame for two primary reasons, culture of arrogance which translates to we have an engineered in product that solves emissions issues mandated by the government (never mind the customer doesn't want it and we gouge them on the price huge margins and we send them poor quality) and no performance based promoting. The company is obsessed with there image to the community ie diversity. They take this way to far promoting plant managers every two years as well as senior leadership. No manager ever has to or will be accountable for their decision. As s result minorities and women are pushed to fill top spots in the organization to a point. Everyone in the company talks about this and it is a major concern as well as a serious point of friction. Don't take my word for it just ask in your interview how many plant manager we have had and their experience and see if you can see a trend, do the same for our president of our division.
