Pros

I can’t think of a single pro

Cons

-During the interview they preach work/life balance but they do not practice that -Toxic work culture -Management at Key Bank Center acts like they’re doing you a favor by hiring you and letting you work in the same building as the Sabres (get over yourself) -The phrase “If you don’t like it there’s the f*****g door” has been said by the GM multiple times to multiple people -HR has been notified of mysoginistic, egotistical, fear culture and has done nothing about it -You will be talked down to by your manager and you will do all of the things that they do not want to do and will tell you “don’t do that, have someone below you do that”, and that is not how you lead -I could go on and on but the gist of it is that it is an ok company to work for but the people running this specific facility are the absolute worst! DO NOT WORK HERE!

Pros

Good first exposure to client facing roles if no prior exposure. Good for learning to balance technical execution with advisory duties. Good for hands-on experience/learning CRM tools you may not have had prior experience with. Decent benefits. Opportunities to create your own “fun” side projects if you have enough drive to do so.

Cons

Long hours, frequent after-hours/on-call work, including weekends and holidays. Lack of clearly defined process/constantly changing process, making onboarding new hires challenging or educating other departments more difficult. Frequently pivoting business decisions, causing further hiccups in process. Lack of communication. Lack of upward career mobility. Base pay is relatively low. While there are opportunities for raises, chances of promotion are very rare. High stress, high turnover environment that causes scrambling to fill in gaps of lost productivity, causing more pivoting business decisions and revisions of process.
