Every region has local seminars and events that you have the option to take part in every month with the goal of enhancing acumen around wealth management and financial planning. - Summer Regional Meetings: Yearly conference that takes place in June/July usually at an upscale resort in the area (room/board/meals are paid for by EJ)
Cons
- No 'on the job' prospecting training: You are solely responsible for training yourself in the art of prospecting and building your business . Other advisors in the area will give you advice and tips around how they brought in clients, but ultimately you will have to develop your own acumen and process. - Lack of "true" financial planning and product diversity, although they are transitioning to MoneyGuide soon. - No ability to "make your business your own" from a marketing perspective (no website, no custom material)
